“Successful artist/gallery relationships are built on trust, knowledge, cooperation and understanding.”
A recent visit from Wim Roefs, Gallery Owner, if ART Gallery, was a day to put trust, knowledge, cooperation and understanding to work while curating my new paintings for this upcoming exhibition. Wim was incredibly generous with his time and his careful consideration to distil the work down to a coherent grouping.

“Active and continued participation and involvement by the artist is an essential part of any successful artist/gallery relationship.”
For my part, 22 new works either started or completed at the Golden Residency this summer were in consideration for this exhibition. It is, unfortunately, a rare occurrence to establish a mutually professional and equitable relationship with an art gallery. I am grateful for this opportunity to work with such a knowledgeable and supportive director.

The exhibition is called “Washing the Dust,” from a Picasso quote -“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” Note: Gallery Talk: Sat., October 29, 2:00 pm
