Festival of Flowers

Greenwood, SC

Thanks to Bob Poe, I just received shots of the work that Dad and I have in this year’s Festival of Flowers juried art exhibition in Greenwood, SC. I hope when I’m 87 I’ll still be making work that is competitive. It was fun to be in the show with the old man.

Festival Facts:

Held for the 45th time in 2012, the annual South Carolina Festival of Flowers (scfestivalofflowers.org) draws visitors from across South Carolina and neighboring states. The festival, with a motto of “Have a Blooming Good Time!” typically includes activities and sporting events over three weeks in June at various Greenwood locations. Many activities are free, but some require tickets or entry fees. The festival was voted one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 June events in 2012 and named one of North America’s top 100 events for 2013 by the American Bus Association.
